Frequently asked questions
What is Elevations?
Elevations is a documentation platform for the exterior storm-restoration claim process. Contractors photograph each side of a property, drop labeled pins on damage spots, and the app generates a structured report that adjusters can review side-by-side with their estimate. Reports are available as a downloadable PDF or as an interactive online view that both sides can pull up during a call.
What devices does Elevations work on?
Any modern web browser — phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. The contractor-facing capture experience is mobile-first so reps can document a property in the field. Reports and share links open cleanly on any device. No app to install.
I received a share link — how do I view the report?
Open the link in any browser. You'll land on an interactive version of the report with the elevation photos, every labeled pin, and the close-up damage photo attached to each one. Click a pin to expand its details. Nothing to download or install — share links are read-only and free to view.
Can I download the PDF from a share link?
Yes. Every share-link page has a "Download PDF" button at the top right. The PDF contains the same content as the interactive view — cover page, elevation photos with pin markers, and a detail page per pin — formatted for printing or attaching to a claim file.
Why does a share link say "no longer active"?
The contractor who created the report regenerated or revoked the link. Share links are randomly generated and can be rotated at any time — usually when a report has been updated and they want to send a fresh URL. Reply to the email it came from and ask for a new link.
How does Elevations relate to Xactimate?
Pin labels in Elevations follow Xactimate line-item conventions — windows are F.1, F.2, F.3; sides are R.1, R.2; roof slopes are N.1, S.1; siding is freeform. That means the structure of an Elevations report maps directly to the way an adjuster's estimate is built, so reconciling damage with line items is fast. Direct export to Xactimate is on the roadmap.
Is the data in a report secure?
Yes. Photos are stored in encrypted private storage and only delivered through expiring signed URLs. Every database table has row-level security so one organization's data is fully isolated from others. Share links are randomly generated, not guessable, and can be revoked at any time. We don't sell, share, or train on customer data.
How much does Elevations cost?
We offer three plans starting at $29 per month for solo contractors. Team and Business plans support larger orgs with seat-based pricing. See the Pricing section on our home page for the current breakdown.
Do I get a free trial?
Yes — every new organization gets a 7-day free trial of the full product. No credit card required upfront. You can subscribe at any point during the trial to keep your access uninterrupted.
Can I see a sample report?
Yes — use the contact form below and we'll send you a real sample PDF along with the interactive share link so you can experience both versions.
